Chris N's Birthday!

Category: Let's talk

Post 1 by Blondie McConfusion (Blah Blah Blah) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 1:01:40

I noticed that today is everyone's favorite admin Chris's birthday. I thought since he does so much around here and puts up with all of us, it would be cool to see what everyone would give him as a birthday gift.
Happy Birthday Chris!

Post 2 by Blondie McConfusion (Blah Blah Blah) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 1:24:42

Oh yeah and I'd give him bubble wrap. :)

Post 3 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 1:27:36

I'd give him time off from the zone stupidity.

Post 4 by BB (move over school!) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 4:20:37

Both time off from from the zone and work with pay of course.

Post 5 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 4:24:41

give him money, and a sex toy so he can get rid of the frustration caused all by becky and bob on the boards. lol

Post 6 by laced-unlaced (Account disabled) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 6:02:49

i would give him a job of his choosing just for one day, he's done so much for the site, i think it would be cool if he had a day off. happy birthday chris!

Post 7 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 6:11:50

I'd give him Jay tied up and naked so that he could punish him in a way he sees fit for being left to do nearly al the work around here.

Premium membership of the zone
Come to think of it,
No sense being stingy
Make the premium membership for two years :D

~~~Happy Birthday~~~
May that for what most you are seeking
Be showered upon you in measure good
Post 10 by Izzito (This site is so "educational") on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 10:10:22
keg of beer!
Post 11 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 10:16:00
happy birthday, chris! i'd give him paid time off from the zone.
Post 12 by Blondie McConfusion (Blah Blah Blah) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 11:10:23
premium membership? um he has more access than premium members, so that would be kinda pointless. but hey i guess it's the thought that counts.
Post 13 by The Roman Battle Mask (Making great use of my Employer's time.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 11:12:21
I'd give him a properly configured OpenBSD server with a reliable data center so the zone wouldn't constently go down.
Post 14 by ~*Dark_Light*~ (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 11:53:20
O.k. I am feeling generous...3 years of premium membership
all wrapped up in.....bubble wrap and tied with 16ft of red velvet ribbon
{That amount of ribbon ought to keep him occupied with the one
who leaps out of his Birthday cake...for a little while at least }
Post 15 by VolcanicAsh (Zone BBS Addict) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 12:00:49
Happy Birthday Chris! I'd give him even numbers with lots and lots of zeros! lol
Post 16 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 12:11:25
I give him me! Lol just kidding, I'd give him a huge party, it'd have to be in private conference of course since I can't have everyone ruining Chris's birthday, lol. Just the cool people! Anyway, have a happy 27th Chris, and may your day be an awesome one.
Jess
Post 17 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 13:51:05
Lol! I like Ash's gift, so I second it. And I'd give him a hug. Awww! :D
Happy birhtday, Chris. Hopefully you get more worthwhile things than have been suggested here.
Post 18 by Izzito (This site is so "educational") on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 14:04:46
More worthwhile than a keg?
Post 19 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 11-Jul-2007 17:03:09
Rofl. Well, I suppose that depends on your point of view, but considering your username, I'll not argue the worthwhile-ness of a keg with you. :P. But I meant all this Zone premium and even-numbered points business. And bubble wrap. Lol.
Post 20 by maroon five (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 6:56:58
a punching bag, to take all his frustration from the zone out on.
Post 21 by Harp (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 8:46:45
Actually I still like the idea of giving Chris a premium membership! It would be a bit like giving Bill Gates a computer ...
Post 22 by Chris N (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 10:29:31
First, thanks for all the replies. I've tried to downplay my birthday since it's really just another day. It's nice to get a reminder that The Zone is about more than endless drama.
Bubble Wrap is always fun to play with. (Yes, I'm easily amused sometimes.)
Time off from the zone stupidity is always welcomed.
Time off work, with pay, is even better. :)
I'll take the money and pass on the sex toy. Thanks though.
I'll save the job for another time and take that day off, please.
I'm sure Jay has his reasons for months and months of inactivity. I don't know exactly what they are, but...
Whenever I log in it says:
Hello, Chris N, User #26.
You are currently a premium member through 2100-01-01. Thanks for your support. Select here to extend your membership or buy one for a friend.
...so I'd say I have the whole premium thing covered for a while. Nice thought though.
Mmm, beer. Dos Equis. I don't like it quite enough to finish off a keg though.
We've covered the paid time off issue.
I like the server as-is, but Jared's data center idea is worth some thought. That comment was very coincidental given the outages we had yesterday...or was it?
Someone's leaping out of a birthday cake? Hmmm.
I like even numbers. Not as much as some of our more OCD members, but still.
Parties are much more fun in person. We can all crash at Lonestar's place. Right Jes?
I like hugs.
Hugs are more worthwhile than kegs, as hard as this may be for I Love Beer to believe.
A punching bag would have been helpful in the recent past. Hopefully things like that won't be needed in the future. Wait, who am I kidding?
Thanks for the suggestions. Now to go edit my account so my birthday will be hidden...
Post 23 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 13:07:10
Wait, my place? But your place is cooler, and um, nicer? And there is a Raymond we can all play with!
Post 24 by soaring eagle (flying high again!) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 13:20:46
Yes a few day's off. thanks for helping all of us!!!
Post 25 by nikos (English words from a Greek thinking brain) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 13:21:25
A meal to a Greek restaurant. Or if Greek doesn't sound good enough maybe Indian, Italian, Mexican or Chinis.
Post 26 by ~*Dark_Light*~ (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 12-Jul-2007 14:36:40
Tosses the 3 years worth of premium memberships over to Harp
Who understands a good joke,
Though the packaging materials still yet belongs to the one
in whose honor this party is for. {Tosses in a few more ft, make that yards,
of red velvet ribbon. For bondage games the velvet is so much so the nicer}
Places a vote in for the Greek Restaurant though all choices
are mouth watering appealing.
Post 28 by EssenceOfFaith (The Creamy Apple) on Saturday, 14-Jul-2007 11:16:27
Damn! I knew Chris N's birhtday was Wednesday because of facebook. But I'd've never done all this... It is very amusing though, I must say.
Post 29 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Tuesday, 17-Jul-2007 8:34:55
